We are both bisexual but because he clearly presents as a male and I a female, we get slotted into the straight column. But we dress and wear our hair weird which is doubly confusing given that we're also older (I'm 63 and he's 68).

In Harlem, where we live, this gets us some grudging street cred although the older ladies often compliment my partner on his colorful hair.

We both agreed that if we were to somehow be granted an apartment along West End Ave, our neighbors wouldn't quite know what to make of us.
