What’s Our Biggest Worry, Paper of Record?
Hint: Getting “just the bird” we want for the holidays isn’t a priority for most people right now, New York Times
Ok, maybe obtaining a nice 20-pound D’Artagnan Organic Turkey really is something that some people are angsting about. I don’t know those people. In a previous incarnation — about 15 years ago or so — I had a passing acquaintance with several people in that social strata. Managing directors of investment banks, upper westside moms whose jobs were to stay super fit and manage the floor-through apartment on West 70th Street as well as the place out in the Hamptons, B-tier media celebrities. Those types of people. Some were actually pretty interesting people. Most weren’t.
To them and to the geniuses at the New York Times, let’s get real.
And to those still roped into spending an entire day cooking the traditional spread for whatever reason and who are having the vapors over the possibility that they won’t be able to secure just the Butterball they want, the rest of us would like a word with you.
