Ukraine says White Lives Matter!
While burning the Russian Federation and Rainbow Flags

Let’s just imagine for a moment that a march happened in October 2020 in Moscow that featured a huge White Lives Matter banner and angry people burning Ukrainian and Rainbow flags. Can’t you hear the howls and see the wall-to-wall coverage on the front pages of The New York Times?
There would instantly be a blue and yellow avalanche of virtue signaling across the social media universe.
Oh. Wait.
That avalanche happened even without such a blatant provocation. Didn’t it?
But those much admired democracy-loving people of Ukraine apparently get a pass when burning Rainbow flags while proclaiming that White Lives Matter (like that was ever in question?). What mad world are we living in when Saint Bernie Sanders votes to send yet more of the American people’s money to Ukraine to fund the U.S. proxy war against Russia? Not bad enough? He also voted against measures to monitor how the money is spent while yammering on and on about how miserable the lives of working people are in The Land of the Free and The Home of the Brave.
Shut up, Bernie.
I could go on at length about how appalling this is and how even more appalling is the way certain people in the United States and parts of Europe tie themselves into Mobius strips to support the unsupportable.
Would I do that to anyone? I might. I am that — what’s the word? — sadistic? Yeah, that’s the word.
I won’t do that to me, however. Because I am decidedly not a masochist.
Also, there is no lack of well-researched essays, articles, podcasts, and videos that will educate even the most clueless about the latest mess our sociopathic “leaders” have gotten us into.
So, yeah, this is for all those whose hearts stir when they hear Слава Україні and who yearn to support those brave Ukrainian martyrs. Remember, what South Carolina’s favorite son has promised. Of course, the men burning the Black Lives Matter sign while bellowing that white lives matter aren’t really paying attention either.
It might be too late for all of us at this point.
Never mind. Driving a Prius and voting for Biden will fix it.
