Trump Didn’t Do What Rhodes Did
Of COURSE this government will shoot protesters!
Show of hands: who’s even a teensy weensy bit surprised that our former failed real estate developer-president wanted to shoot the Black Lives Matter protesters in 2020 according to the latest breathless memoir to appear from that swamp? Ok, here’s another one: who’s still surprised that he didn’t?
Me, that’s who.
After all, if a popular moderate Republican governor managed to call out the National Guard and get four demonstrators shot dead at Kent State in 1970 what’s the old blowhard’s excuse for not showing those trouble-makers who’s boss? Sidebar: that happened exactly 52 years ago today, May 4.
Yes, children, it’s not just out-of-control cops going around shooting people dead for exercising their constitutional right of free assembly. Our tax money gets vacuumed out of our paychecks and into the bank accounts of people like Governor James Rhodes, the guy who will forever carry the stink of four dead protesters. Rhodes died in 2001 at the ripe old age of 92 and this is his forever legacy: Four Dead in Ohio.
It’s too easy to be lulled into a fog of complacency where what the government is doing is too dull and too disgusting to contemplate. So we don’t.
