Thank you for writing in.

We have recently redesigned the overall layout of Medium.

As such, we have deprecated certain design elements on the published story page, which includes the way that images are displayed.

We have done this to present a more consistent, predictable, and faster Medium experience across all Medium surfaces, including the web, mobile browsers, and our Medium mobile applications for iOS and Android.

We are working to update the image toolbar in the editor to reflect these changes, but on your published story, we will only be displaying a single image size and image grids.

We are no longer supporting left-aligned images, full-bleed images, or any other image size. We are still supporting alt-text, captions, and image grids.
