I do get it about the French protests. It’s the start down a slippery slope that the young people aren’t having. I don’t blame them and support their protests. If we had that level of outrage we might not be forced to greet at Walmart when we’re 80 in order to buy our groceries.

The fact that Macron did an end run around the legislative bodies that are supposed to be the ones representing the will of the people is definitely worth protesting. Once any “ruler” can just pass that kind of legislation that goes completely counter to the will of the people without having it approved by the elected bodies in charge of this type of decision, it’s only a matter of time before he’s doing more damage to people’s lives.
