Interesting how many things that were “completely impossible” got fast-tracked when the pandemic hit, isn’t it? The U.S. has plenty of money for war and international aid to further its interests, but it wasn’t until its own citizens were getting sick and dying by the tens of thousands that they suddenly could afford a stripped-down version of universal healthcare as well as a model of UBI.
