I sometimes think those cagey Founding Fathers were onto something with this freedom of speech thing. If we're free to spout it, everyone is free to ignore it. When we criticize this government, we put nothing on the line. With no imprisoned dissidents shouting about our naked emperors, the rest of the population can go back to their Netflix and the government can keep chipping away at those very freedoms we supposedly hold so dear.
