I appreciate the shout out, James, and cringed in recognition as I read the reactions of your neighbors in that grocery store line. I remember all too clearly what it's like to live among people with such small, hard, mean hearts who consider themselves "good people". I will never willingly submit to the "charms" of small town America again.
