I always get a little cranky with these articles that talk about anything to do with the loan pause or forgiveness because such articles seldom note this important fact: Not ALL student loan debt. Only those held by the Dept of Education.

When I consolidated my loans in 2004 during an extended illness I didn't realize I was converting to private loans.
