For all we know he might have tried to be open with her. It's hard to gauge what goes on in relationships from the outside.

It's an unfortunate truth that in too many cases when a man takes the risk of telling his girlfriend/wife/SO that he's bi or is attracted to men at whatever level he finds himself out on the curb with his clothes tossed out the window.

Having met my partner at a queer sex party in Brooklyn, we never had to have "that" conversation but plenty of the men he gets together with either have had it with disastrous results or don't dare.

Personally, I couldn't tolerate being with a straight man again and feel blessed to have found several hot queer male lovers.

But you're right: this world makes it unnecessarily hard to be an openly bi man and that sucks.

Keep shouting this from the tops of buildings!
