Clearly, I am Going Nowhere!

The latest? Zero ambition to “Develop my Brand”.

There are numerous reasons I’ll never make it big in today’s world of content creation. The primary one is that I stubbornly refuse to identify myself as a content creator (foolish, I know, but I’m still just a writer). A close second is the fact that I have absolutely no interest in establishing or enhancing or developing my “brand”.

Facebook seems to think I need this in my life. Facebook is wrong. Again.

Some genius algorithm sent this to my Facebook page today which prompted me to consider for all of three seconds what my “brand” could possibly look like.

The three seconds had to wait for me to stop laughing at that first sentence.

Writing isn’t easy! Who knew?

One might pause to consider that if one is finding writing “tedious” or “time-consuming”, one could possibly be creating content — aka crap — and not actually writing at all. I’m here to confirm that writing is not easy and the only people who keep at it are clearly in the grip of some unhealthy compulsion. But I’ll go out on a limb here and also note that we sickos who keep writing may find it time-consuming but never tedious.
